Customizable, Engaging Consulting for Your Company
David Markwardt Consulting provides professional development programs designed in collaboration with you. Most programs are in a multi-day, in-person format—and all programs are hands-on.

During our programs, you will:

Move
You won’t be glued to a chair. You’ll be encouraged to get up and move around! And, when possible, activities will include the outdoors.

Talk
You are not an audience but an active participant. You will be able to build connections and share your thoughts!

Do
Programs are hands-on and action-oriented. You’ll not only learn but will have tools to put what you’ve learned into practice.

ESSENTIALS FOR POSITIVE LEADERSHIP AND MANAGEMENT TRAINING
This in-person and highly interactive training offers tools and tips to address common leadership and managerial challenges in a positive, constructive way. The training is intended to benefit high potential leaders and both new and experienced managers. Different sessions address motivation and engagement, positive coaching and feedback, and handling common challenges such as time management and effectively managing supervisor/supervisee relationships.
MAKING THE TRANSITION FROM PEER TO MANAGER
Becoming the manager is an exciting transition, but it can also be challenging. This is especially true if you are now managing people who used to be your peers. In your new role, you need to establish credibility and authority, without acting like the promotion has gone to your head. How you walk this line will depend on your organization and your leadership style, but in this workshop you will learn some general rules and guidelines to make the transition smoother.
DEVELOPING EMOTIONAL INTELLIGENCE
Emotional intelligence corresponds to workplace success. In customer service jobs, people with strong emotional intelligence skills are more attuned to customers’ needs and provide better service. In managerial jobs, people with strong emotional intelligence skills are more receptive to employees’ needs and make more effective team leaders, coaches, and supervisors.
CUSTOMIZED TEAM BUILDING PROGRAMS
Good teamwork is elusive. Low trust and poor communication are common problems. Even reasonably functioning teams frequently fail to reach their potential. Powerful team building improves trust, communication and addresses other challenges, putting your team on a path to higher performance.
CUSTOMIZED COMMUNICATING EFFECTIVELY TRAINING
It is hard to describe things accurately and listen well, very hard, harder than most people think. The benefits – the positive, ripple effects – of speaking clearly and really hearing what people are saying are boundless. From customer service roles to supervisory roles, everyone needs to communicate well. In this training, employees practice and improve these skills and learn tools they can use to be more effective at work.
